About the E.C. Green Cancer Center

Chances are that you or someone you know has been personally affected by cancer. In fact, more than 1.6 million new cases of cancer were diagnosed in the United States alone in 2016.1 While there is still a lot of uncertainty about cancer, the good news is that research is constantly being performed to help eradicate this disease.
The majority of people diagnosed with cancer are able to recover and get back to their normal lives. Some forms of the disease have nearly 100% recovery rates. The E.C. Green Cancer Center wants to see those recovery rates continue to rise and is proud to be a part of the effort to fight cancer. We focus on prevention, early detection and advanced treatments for cancer in the Hopkinsville, Kentucky area.

The E.C. Green Cancer Center was named for Emma Campbell Green. Her son, John. R. Green, bequeathed half of his estate to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center upon his passing in 1989. He requested that the land be used for, "the purchase and maintenance of cancer detection and treatment equipment." Both Emma and John were lifelong Hopkinsville residents.
